Giving Solutions for Americans Earning in Switzerland
Through our partner, Swiss American Giving, U.S. citizens earning in Switzerland can make charitable donations that provide tax deductions in both Switzerland and the United States. As one of the first dual-qualified charities in Switzerland, Swiss American Giving maximizes the tax efficiency and impact of charitable giving.
For Dual Tax Payers
We understand that donating to charity is an act of generosity. However, for donors required to pay taxes in both the United States and the United Kingdom, charitable giving can present opportunities to increase giving to your favorite charity and lower your taxes. We can help you.
How it works
Donate to Swiss American Giving
Make a donation to Swiss American Giving, a dual-qualified charity in both the U.S. and Switzerland.
Receive Dual Tax Receipts
After your donation is processed, you’ll receive two receipts: a Swiss tax receipt for claiming deductions on your Swiss tax return and a U.S. tax receipt for deductions on your U.S. tax return.
Claim Your Tax Deductions
Use the Swiss receipt to reduce your taxable income based on cantonal regulations and the U.S. receipt to deduct the donation from your adjusted gross income on your federal tax return.
Secure, Fast, and Affordable Solutions
Swiss American Giving offers secure, efficient, and cost-effective solutions tailored to your unique needs. Our services comply with both U.S. and Swiss tax laws, helping you maximize the impact of your charitable giving with ease.
Contribution Assessment
A 3% contribution assessment (subject to SFr 150 minimum) is applied on individual donations and there is a 1% grant assessment (subject to SFr 300 minimum) for the onward grants to your recommended charity.
Our Global Network
As a global member of TrustBridge Global Foundation, International Generosity Foundation has the opportunity to leverage an extensive network of foundations for the efficient distribution of grants, while keeping administrative costs low.
